Webmail Mailbox Maintenance
Primus Webmail is a service that runs on the Primus Mail servers. We added this service to allow you the ability to send and receive messages directly from our servers instead of having to configure a mail program that works on your machine. The best part about Webmail is that it is accessible from any Internet access in the world. If you can get on the Internet, you can access Webmail.
This functionality on the other hand does not come without some required learning. One of the most common issues is caused by not deleting messages from Deleted Items folder. When you delete an e-mail from the Inbox, it gets placed in the Trash. Unfortunately, as in your own home, the trash does not empty itself, it requires some attention by you.
Users of Webmail need to take some time to go to the trash folder and actually throw out the deleted messages. This is called PURGE. In purging the deleted items, we create space to allow new messages to be received. If this is not done, mail messages will bounce back to the sender when the box is full, and moreover, you will have difficulty accessing the Webmail as the box is so “full”, the server can not display your messages.
A second common issue is caused similarly but this one is the Sent Items Folder. Sent Items folder keeps a copy of all messages you have sent using the Webmail Service. This too takes critical mail space. So deleting these messages is as important as taking the next step of PURGing them from the Deleted Items Folder.
Keeping up with your Sent Items Folder, and the Deleted Items Folder will provide you with a functional Webmail tool.
