Primus' Dial-up Accelerator allows your business to access the Internet at speeds five times faster than conventional dial-up service. Dial-up Accelerator compresses web page and email components in order to send information to your computer faster. Pop-up and banner-ad blocking are two value-added features that are included with your Dial-up Accelerator software.

How it Works

With traditional dial-up methods, the text and graphics that make up web pages get sent from the server to you over your phone line. The large amount of data required to be sent, can make this process painfully slow. Dial-up Accelerator compresses this data using a proprietary technology, and sends it over your existing dial-up phone line. This compression process allows a smaller amount of data to be sent - up to five times less - making the download time of your web pages and your online experience that much faster. As an added download time reducer, Primus' Dial-up Accelerator stores elements of the websites you visit frequently eliminating the need to re-download them every time you visit these sites.

System Requirements

  • Pentium 200MHz with 64 MB of RAM
  • At least 5 MB of hard-disk space
  • Regardless, Dial-up Accelerator will work within your current system configuration to provide you with the best content acceleration.

  • Operating Systems Requirement: Windows 95b w/ Winsock2 or higher
For Macintosh
  • PowerPC G3 processor 333 MHz with 128 MB RAM
  • At least 6 MB of hard-disk space
  • Regardless, Dial-up Accelerator will work within your current system configuration to provide you with the best content acceleration.

  • Operating Systems Requirement: Macintosh OS X 10.2 or later
